Tips: Backer Rod & Chinking
Closed Cell Roll Rod:
- Will not hold moisture and actually repels moisture.
- In some cases a little higher insulation value.
- Firmer finished joint because backer rod is stiffer.
- Has wider assortment of sizes ¼" to 4" in dia.
- Will work better for a caulking job that requires a smaller backer rod, such as ¼" to 3/8"
- In some uses this product will need to be fastened in place, using spray adhesives.
