THE PERFECT SOLUTION
UV GUARD® is specially formulated for vertical wood surfaces.
It is designed for use on quality wood siding and log homes.
UV GUARD® is also extremely effective when used as a protective
coating on wood shingles and fences. Stringent testing in
which UV GUARD® was exposed to high levels of sunlight,
moisture and temperatures extremes proved that UV GUARD®
lasts longer and provides much greater protection than major
competitors.
AVAILABLE IN CLEAR AND SEMI-TRANSPARENT STAINS
You may choose UV GUARD® in a clear finish or any one
of 11 semi-transparent stains. For greatest protection, the
recommended application is a base coat or coats of deep penetrating
semi-transparent stain followed by a clear finish coat.

That's why Weatherall has developed UV GUARD® the ultimate
exterior wood finish. UV GUARD® is scientifically designed
to protect and preserve the intrinsic beauty and strength
of natural wood. This amazing new product contains highly
advanced UV absorbers and stabilizers that effectively resist
the sun's harmful rays. UV GUARD® also repels water, resists
warping, swelling and cracking, and contains a biocide that
resists unsightly discoloration caused by mold and mildew.

GUARD® IS AVAILABLE IN A CLEAR FINISH AND
YOUR CHOICE OF SEMI-TRANSPARENT STAINS
The color samples above were applied on lodgepole pine. Color
may vary due to wood species, texture or grain.
COVERAGE
Hand Peeled Logs and Planed Lumber: 200-300 sq.ft/gallon
on the first coat, and 400-500 sq. ft/gallon on subsequent
coats. Milled Logs and Rough Sawn Lumber: 150-250 sq.
ft/gallon on the first coat, and 400-400 sq. ft/gallon
on subsequent coats. NOTE: Coverage mayh vary depending
on type of wood surface.
APPLICATION
Prior to application, remove all dirt, oil, grease and
other oil-based preservatives. Surface should be free
from stains, mildew, fungus, loose bark or cambium.
UV GUARD® may be applied by brush or airless sprayer.
Apply two wet-on-wet coats. Be sure to back brush all
runs. Treat all ends or exposed wood with several coats
of UV GUARD® Clear or desired stain. When desiredcolor
has been achieved, a final top coat of UV GUARD®
Clear should be applied.
Check temperature prior to application. Sub-freezing
temperatures, rain, excessive heat and humidity may
affect application and performance of UV GUARD®

followed in all application.

SAFE TO USE
UV GUARD®
Deck & Fence Coating applies quickly and easily with
a brush or by spray application. It dries quickly (normally
within 30 minutes) to a transparent, odorless, non-yellowing
finish. It is non-flammable in the liquid state and increases
the kindling temperatures of the wood when dry. Clean up
is quck and easy with soap and water. Although specifically
developed for application on new wood decks and fences,
UV GUARD® Deck & Fence Coating may also be applied
to previously coated surfaces when properly cleaned and
prepared. |
